Update nowThis month, Rubica’s Director of Culture & Engagement, Caroline Gosling talks to Joy Burnford at Forbes.
Discussing flexible working policies, Caroline highlights the importance of understanding how culture may help (or not!) when organisations are serious about establishing flexible working beyond a policy:
Working flexibly can become a huge additional burden if you are trying to do it in a context where the undercurrent is that it’s not OK. It’s not freeing or supportive of inclusion if you have guilt about working differently to others, feel you have to pretend you are working when you are not, or think you need to hide that you have a life outside work too.
